Many of the around 1,100 listed manor houses in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern provided an impressive backdrop. To mark the end of Caspar David Friedrich's anniversary year, Schlösserherbst 2024 presented itself under the motto of Romanticism. Exciting castle and park tours, top-class concerts, fascinating exhibitions, romantic readings and numerous culinary events took place in the venerable palaces. Accommodation offers in stately hotels and guesthouses rounded off the experience.
Autumn also invited visitors to go stargazing. The low light pollution in the Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake District regions made it possible to see the Milky Way in the cloudless sky. A deckchair in the castle park with a blanket and a hot drink provided the perfect spot for stargazing.
