Right after breakfast, the first path leads to the horses in the stable. There it smells wonderfully of hay and it sounds funny how the animals gleefully crunch their morning meal with their teeth. Strolling between the stalls, greeting the farm cat that purrs around your legs, romping in straw and h ay ... does it need more for a perfect start of the day in the riding vacations?
Horses, fun and sea
The little horse lovers are accommodated in shared rooms during the riding vacations, so they make new friends as soon as they arrive. On many equestrian Reiterhöfen
in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, boys and girls are given permanent foster ponies to look after during their stay. They are ridden with and without a saddle. A lungeing lesson helps to carefully get used to the rhythm of the little horses. Later, after the first riding lessons, they go out into the countryside. Forests, wide fields and meadows invite to long rides. Sometimes there is the opportunity to go swimming with the horses in lakes and the sea - a great experience.
Even for little artists and clowns there are great offers: Perform in the Hofcircus, perform small tricks on horseback, rehearse clowneries and magic tricks. On the island of Rügen there is even a real horse theater and in Hirschburg the horse show. The best thing about children's riding vacations in the countryside is the opportunity to roam around in nature, stroke the horses' velvety nostrils and enjoy freedom from dawn till dusk. Even if TVs and game consoles are a rarity at equestrian farms on the coast and inland - no child has ever complained about boredom or sleeplessness.
Tip: If it is not possible to bring the children to the riding school, we recommend traveling by train. There are good train connections and most hosts* pick up vacationers traveling alone directly from the train station.
Take your riding badge during the vacations
For the riding badge examinations, numerous riding stables in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern offer theoretical and practical riding courses.
Through these examinations or through successes in tournament sport, more than 50 badges can be acquired in German equestrian sport. Especially in the youth and beginner area, there are countless opportunities for riding training in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Do you want to combine your vacation between the Baltic Sea and the Lake District with a badge course, further training or a riding course for yourself and your four-legged friend? No problem: In the twinkling of an eye, beginners become experts in the German riding badges:
