Vacation happiness in every season

Surrounded by the Baltic Sea, the Bodden and the forests of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park, Zingst is the perfect destination for nature lovers. And not only in summer, but also in autumn, when the trees begin to glow with color, a fresh breeze blows over the roofs, cranes trumpet in the sky and the light lends nature a fairytale-like magic, the former seafaring village attracts visitors with the most beautiful vacation experiences. You are welcome to leave the car behind, as the white beach, the dense coastal forests and the crane observation points can be easily reached by bike or on foot.

While people dig, sunbathe and swim on Zingst beach in summer, lovers of silence and slowness enjoy this place in the cooler seasons. Walkers with their collars and hats up brave the sea breeze and enjoy the healthy salty air. Those who want to be even closer to the sea can stroll 270 meters over the wooden sea bridge across the Baltic Sea and, with a bit of luck, spot some fish. The west beach promises wild romance and is also easy to reach by bike. The TV channel arte named it one of the 20 most beautiful beaches in the world for good reason. The fine sandy 14-kilometre-long beach borders on the Dar forest and impresses with its pristine beauty. No one interferes with the natural environment here. And so the plants and flowers here are just as nature created them. Uprooted trees, for example, lie across the beach and are left to the forces of nature.

Relaxed luxury in Zingst

What could be better than returning to an accommodation that combines relaxation and a well-groomed retreat with culinary delights after an overwhelming nature trip? After a refreshing and relaxing break, head to the Nautica restaurant, where the pampering program continues in style. Regionality and quality are top priorities here - whether it's organic wild boar from the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park, herbs from the hotel's own garden or fresh fish from the last active fishermen in the region. So much goodness needs to be toasted, preferably with a classic cocktail or long drink created by yourself at the Oyster Bar. The 30 to 35 square meter double rooms, optionally with a balcony, offer a tasteful retreat. The suites, which are up to 100 square meters in size, are particularly spacious. Those who can take their eyes off the high-quality and elegant furnishings can see the forecourt to the Kurhaus, the dyke with the adjacent beach or the outdoor pool in the large hotel park from the window.     Up close to the cranes

    One of the most impressive vacation experiences in autumn on Fischland-Darß-Zingst is the migration of the cranes. Tens of thousands of these feathered travelers rest around Zingst alone from September onwards. Several thousand birds set up camp for the night on the island of Kirr. The small island belongs to the municipality of Zingst and is part of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. Covered with salt marshes and criss-crossed by tidal creeks, it is considered the most important bird sanctuary on the southern Baltic coast.
