From stormy Cape Arkona with its striking lighthouses, the hiking trail leads to the listed village of Vitt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the special gems is the thatched octagonal chapel. Along long stretches of beach and past the Nobbin megalithic tomb, the trail leads to Breege, once the richest seafaring village on the island of Rügen. The district Juliusruh attracts with one of the sunniest beaches in Germany and a historical landscape park.

On the Schaabe, a narrow land bridge between the former island nuclei of Wittow and Jasmund, a forest path leads to Gelmer Ort. Here you can enjoy unique views from the steep shore over the Breeger Bodden to the island of Hiddensee. On the shore of the Great Jasmund Bodden, hikers experience a picturesque landscape without great differences in altitude and, with a little luck, encounter sea eagles or otters, which are native to this area, between quiet meadows and near-natural forests.

Through the forest park of Semper with its fascinating coastal forest you reach Lietzow. Here, the natural beach invites you to take a break for a swim. On a shady forest path you will walk through the Black Mountains with their important Bronze Age burial mounds and reach the village of Ralswiek. The village with its thatched houses and busy harbor offers some resting opportunities. It is famous for its unique natural stage, where the Störtebeker Festival takes place in summer.

The nature trail leads through a hilly landscape rich in views to Bergen, the island capital steeped in history. On the Rugard, the highest elevation of Rügen, the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt lookout tower offers a magnificent view over the entire island. From Bergen, the hike continues southward through forests, grasslands and fields to the classicist "white" town of Putbus.

Through the quiet south of the island with its tranquil villages, the hiking trail continues to Stralsund via the Rügen Dam. In the Hanseatic city, one color dominates: the bright red of the brick can be found everywhere in the UNESCO World Heritage city.

The other stages of the E10 through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are unfortunately insufficiently marked and difficult to walk.
