Long-distance hiking trails run through almost all of Europe, connecting the beauties of an entire continent. Three of them run right through the heart of the unspoiled landscape of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Everyone sets their own pace here: A whole tour is suitable for an extended vacation, individual stages for shorter hikes.     Moraine trail E10 (section Rügen)

    The European Long Distance Trail E10 leads from Finland to Spain. In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern it runs from the Island of Rügen through hilly moraine terrain, which was formed during the last Ice Age and is now home to incomparable nature, to the Mecklenburg Lake District. The section across Germany's largest Island of Rügen leads from Cape Arkona, through a picturesque landscape on the Great Jasmund Bodden, past "the white city" of Putbus and on to the Hanseatic City of Stralsund.

    Baltic Sea Coast Hiking Trail E9

    Atlantic, North Sea, Baltic Sea – the Hiking Trail E9 connects the coasts of Europe. On the stretch between Travemünde and Ahlbeck, hikers can enjoy the diversity of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's coastal landscape.

    Nature Park Trail in MV E9a

    The nature park trail in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern runs right through the inland from the Schaalsee biosphere reserve to the island of Usedom. It connects countless glistening lakes, rolling hills and shady forests with beaches and the sea. All seven nature parks in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can be discovered along the way. But also romantic manor houses and picturesque villages, sea eagles and ospreys, cranes and storks above the hikers as well as otters and beavers among water lilies, irises and orchids in the water guarantee unique nature experiences. The southern route to Altwarp is designated as European long-distance hiking trail E9a.
