Visitors can take a seat on the plain wooden benches and listen. In the afternoon there is a children's program, in the evening there are radio plays for adults. Readings are also on the program.

1. Day tour (18 km):  Waren (Lake Müritz) - Schwarzenhof
The path runs along the banks of Lake Müritz to the vantage point at Schnakenburg. Passing the rugged Teufelsbruch, the cheerful quacking of the common and red-crested pochards and tufted ducks that populate the area in the thousands during the summer months rings out all around Lake Warnk. Another magnificent vista is found at Lake Rederang, where the trumpet symphony of the cranes resounds each spring and autumn.

2. Day tour (17 km): Schwarzenhof - Boek
The day tour crosses wet meadows and earthy moors, passing gnarled oaks on its way to Lake Speck. A climb up the 55 metre Käflingsberg tower is highly recommended. Perched at a height of 69 metres, a sweeping vista opens up across extensive forests, numerous lakes and the eastern banks of Lake Müritz. The tour reaches its conclusion in the former estate village Gutsdorf after traversing Boeker Forst with its well-preserved, wooded inland dunes.

3. Day tour (25 km): Boek - Wesenberg
The fish ponds of Boek are a paradise for ospreys, sea eagles, cormorants and grey herons.  Visitors command a beautiful view of the fish ponds from Amalienhof, where with a spot of luck they can spy on ospreys hunting. The path crosses the Havelsbach basin close to Babke, before continuing across meadows, through forests and past smaller lakes to Wesenberg.

4. Day tour (22 km): Wesenberg - Fürstensee
This path to Fürstensee is enclosed within a mosaic of lakes, reed belts, forests, meadows and fields. The stage passes Lake Woblitz and continues through the stork village of Groß Quassow. Fortunate visitors might spot a stork strutting beside the path. Lake Tiefer Trebow with its ornithological station for waterfowl is a delightful place to stop and rest. And from here a detour to the adjacent Kalkhorst nature reserve is highly recommended.

5. Day tour (24 km): Fürstensee - Carpin
A dense, mixed forest stretches out from Fürstensee to Carpin, giving hikers a truly emerald experience. Crossing the Serrahn section of the National Park, this stage catches the eye with its hilly terrain that winds through old forests and past enchanted lakes.

6. Day tour (16 km): Carpin - Neustrelitz
The wildest part of the Lake Müritz National Park begins just a few metres behind Carpin: populated by old beech trees that have been declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, visitors can experience towering, dead trees next to diminutive saplings and interspersed with hidden cauldron fens, precisely the way it was even centuries ago. A moor path in Serrahn retells the history of this unique area.

7. Day tour (17 km): Neustrelitz - Kratzeburg
The path extends along the banks of Lake Zierk to Schloßkoppel, the former landscape park maintained by the grand dukes. Hikers will find a garden of glacial erratics in the village of Prälank. A nature trail traces the Ice Age history of Strelitzer Land. It is well worth visiting the bat exhibition at Kratzeburg, the finishing point of this stage. Several species of these nocturnal creatures populate the National Park, and more patient visitors can observe them during the twilight hours.

8. Day tour (26 km): Kratzeburg - Federow
This stage winds its way through the source area of the Havel and its large number of lakes, concealed within the forest. An adventure trail begins immediately after Kratzeburg, leading to the hamlet of Dambeck and its former manor house. The source of the Havel is located south of Lake Mühlen. Visitors will find a beautiful spot to rest and cool down in the bathing area at the source. A pair of ospreys have built their nest close to Federow.  The animals can be seen circling the skies even from afar. And the video camera installed directly adjacent to the eyrie and shown in the National Park information centre in Federow allows everyone to enjoy an intimate view into the nursery of these birds of prey.

9. Day tour (10 km): Federow – Waren (Lake Müritz)
The Lake Müritz National Park path draws to an end shortly before the city of Waren (Lake Müritz) with a view over Lake Feisneck and the fortified island at its centre that was once occupied by Slavs. A visit to the MÜRITZEUM rounds off the hiking tour.
