The tour starts in Wustrow or Seewalde and takes you on a beautiful loop through shady mixed forests, along the shores of Lake Klenz and Lake Gobenow and across fields and pastures. From paths to natural forest trails, this trail is great fun to experience. There is also a small section of asphalt underfoot along the way. Various restaurants in Wustrow or the organic bistro and store in Seewalde invite you to stop for a bite to eat. There are plenty of opportunities to rest along the way and experience nature up close. A highlight of the tour is a path that leads through a marshy area.
Route description
When starting in Wustrow, it is best to park your car in the village center in the parking lot or at the old school (Schulstraße 10). If you want to start the loop in Seewalde, you will also find free parking here. Seewalde and Wustrow can also be reached by public bus.
We recommend starting the tour in Wustrow. We start at the meadow with the "Trees of the Year" in Schulstraße in the direction of Klenzsee. We follow the path and the accompanying signs. On the shore of Lake Klenzsee, the trail turns into a forest path and leads over a wooden bridge that spans the canal between Lake Klenzsee and Lake Heege. The trail then runs along the shore, through a boggy section to the road between Seewalde and Canow. Cross this road to reach Seewalde on the banks of the Gobenowsee. Here we recommend a stop at the organic store and bistro in the estate. (Opening times at www.seewalde.de) Well refreshed, continue along the road towards Drosedow. At the information board, the path leads off to the right towards Neu Drosedow. Here you just have to follow the path. From Neu Drosedow, an asphalted section begins, which we leave to the right at the canoe farm on the Heegesee. Now follow the path along the fields and through the forest until you get back to Wustrow.
