The fact that the Feldberg lake landscape has been shaped by the ice age is noticed quite quickly. The small rectangular half-timbered church in the center of the village is located in the immediate vicinity of the Pingelhof Agricultural Open-Air Museum. It was probably built after the Thirty Years' War and before 1700. In the cemetery of the village church of Alt Damerow lie buried the members of the Pingel family, who once ran the Pingelhof, now a museum, as a real farm.
