Fanny Mendelssohn Award
With her zither, on which she interprets classical works, and the concept of "intimacy", Sarah Luisa Wurmer impressed the jury of this year's Fanny Mendelssohn Award and is now accepting her award as part of this "Young Elite" concert.
The Fanny Mendelssohn Award is a concept prize that not only evaluates the musical virtuosity of the musicians, but also focuses on their innovative concepts. The award, which is presented in honor of Fanny Mendelssohn (known as Fanny Hensel as a composer), is intended to enable young musicians to do what she was not granted: present their visions and musical concepts to a broad public. Therefore, in addition to several concert appearances, the prize includes support for the recording of a debut album - Sarah Luisa Wurmer can now release an album on the Hamburg label ES-DUR.
