Yoga, meditation and pure relaxation on the chalk coast of Rügen: experience for yourself how closely we are connected to nature on International Biodiversity Day.
Nature can inspire and nourish us. On this special Biodiversity Day, we will show you that it is important to take a stand not only for your own health, but also for biodiversity.
The holistic yoga class includes energizing breathing exercises, a flowing sequence that takes us through various yoga poses, all named after animals, gentle twists, backbends and forward bends, deep poses and deep postures.The holistic class includes a flowing sequence of yoga poses, all named after animals, gentle twists, backbends and forward bends, deeply relaxing yin yoga and a guided final relaxation (savasana), taught by Kristin Rübesamen, certified yoga teacher for over 25 years and author of several yoga books, known for her humor and experience.
The 60-minute yoga class is expressly suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners and takes place outdoors in good weather. Please bring a yoga mat or sleeping mat.
Before the yoga session, a guide from the National Park Center will give a brief introduction to the topic of "Biodiversity - an important basis of our own lives". The meeting point for the event is therefore at 4 p.m. at the entrance to the visitor center at the Königsstuhl.
The schedule is as follows:
- 4.00 p.m.: Arrival with possibility to leave bags in lockers
- 4.15 p.m.: Short guided tour "Biodiversity - an important basis of our own lives" with a view of the exhibition's species gallery
- 4.45 p.m.: Collection of yoga equipment and opportunity to change in the building's WC
- 17.00-18.00: Yoga class on the Romantik meadow (in case of bad weather in the chalk room of the house)
Admission: 6 EUR. An additional voluntary donation for participation in the yoga class is requested. Please bring cash on site or donate online here: wwf.de/spende (link: https:// wwf.de/spende). The donations will benefit the projects of WWF, which is committed to the protection of species and their habitats.

Due to limited access, it is not possible to park directly at the center by car.
Arrival by car: If arriving by car, please use the parking lot in Hagen (Stubbenkammerstr. 57, 18551 Lohme OT Hagen) and from there simply take the shuttle bus to the Königsstuhl.
