Hands-on activities for young and old - interesting facts about the daily work of rangers in the biosphere reserve and around the world
To mark this year's World Ranger Day, the rangers of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve are inviting locals and guests to a special event on July 31 from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Blieschow orchard near Lancken-Granitz.
Visitors will learn interesting facts about the daily work of the rangers in the biosphere reserve and around the world. The rangers will also provide valuable tips on natural garden design, which can help to support species conservation in residential areas.
Anyone who wants to can also get involved in species conservation on site. The rangers have prepared kits for nesting boxes, which those interested can then complete and hang up in their own gardens.
For children, games such as "pine cone throwing" or "animal jumping" are offered.
Please arrive by public transport or by bike, there is no parking available on site.
The Graftitz stop of the Raging Roland is only about 300 meters away from the venue.
