Illustrated lecture on our native mushrooms given by mushroom expert Manfred Böttcher
Manfred Böttcher, mushroom expert for the Mecklenburg Lake District, knows his way around our local mushroom world. He always finds mushrooms on his forays through the woods and fields. In his illustrated lecture in the MiM series, he takes the guest into the fascinating world of mushrooms and reveals how best to collect these "fruits", how to recognize what is a good edible mushroom and which mushrooms you should rather leave and just admire and he gives tips on preparation, especially the not so well-known mushroom species.
The Müritzeum invites all mushroom lovers to this virtual foray through the forest and meadows. Admission is free, but a donation is requested.
In addition to the lecture, a mushroom consultation with a mushroom show is planned for the weekend of October 11/12 at the Müritzeum. Anyone can then take a look at mushroom originals or bring along their own "hunting successes" for identification by Mr. Böttcher and his colleagues. Of course, only if it is real mushroom weather by then.
