Lecture in the Franciscan monastery in Neubrandenburg with Dr. Marco Nase, member of the commemorative work of the Four Gates City of Neubrandenburg

When Soviet troops occupied the city of Neubrandeburg in April 1945, the war was not yet over for the city. Nor had it just begun in those spring days. The arms industry, forced labor and National Socialist policies changed the face of the city just as much as the pillaging and flight. The lecture attempts to describe the events surrounding the end of the war in Neubrandenburg in 1945, to trace the victims, but also to show how the events of the Second World War laid the foundations for modern Neubrandenburg.
