Roland Jankowsky reads "criminal" short stories
Roland Jankowsky has been known for many years from various TV formats. Whenever the time is right, he takes to the stage from time to time. It is not least his sometimes somewhat peculiar Inspector Overbeck who elevated the ZDF series "Wilsberg" to cult status and enjoys a large, still growing fan base, despite the many blunders he makes. In his reading, however, he avoids these as far as possible.
Equipped with many years of experience as a radio announcer and reader, Roland Jankowsky presents "criminal" short stories. His "alter ego" also appears to be present in this genre, sitting "uninvited" at the reading table and commenting on the lecture with original body language, occasional cross-references and bon mots. A subtle interplay between reader and actor develops, which is very entertaining for the audience to observe and makes the reading a tongue-in-cheek, amusing experience. Jankowsky's crime story reading won the "Golden Berta" audience award at the 2016 Eifel Culture Days.
