Play by Lutz Hübner and Sarah Nemitz With Katja Klemt and Peer Roggendorf
Anke and Theo, a couple with almost grown-up children, are sitting in the theater. Even before the curtain can go up, there is an argument: About the "waste of money" for the program booklet, about the inability to distinguish parking spaces from driveways, a marital quarrel of the kind that could happen every day in any auditorium.
But what happens when the spotlight suddenly falls on one of them and they can express their thoughts, wishes and memories undisturbed and without interruption? In the light of the stage, they look at their own lives differently. Now Anke and Theo have all the magic of the theater at their disposal, they can change roles, jump back and forth in time, mix fiction with memories and distance themselves from their own characters.
By taking a loving look at the characters, the big questions quickly become visible behind the everyday situations. What is worth remembering and how do you tell (yourself) your own story? On the basis of crises, moments of happiness, children's birthdays survived, vacations? What remains, what leaves a mark, what carries more weight? What would have happened if ...? Should it really be over now? And could you - as here - turn the dial towards the future? Would you want to know what happens next and when it ends?
