Spring awakening at the PL Gallery on March 21, 2025
This year's season opening at Galerie PL will feature a picture exhibition entitled "WestStrandGut - fotografiert, gemalt, koloriert, gedruckt" by artist and writer Uwe Rieger.
Uwe Rieger, who grew up in Prerow, now lives in Greifswald, where he is a member of the artists' group "Die Buhne".
Painting, drawing, photography, various graphic techniques and arts and crafts have occupied him since childhood. The Baltic Sea landscapes of the Fischland/Darß/Zingst region are at the center of all this,
Uwe Rieger has also written books, for example one about the Prerow painter and graphic artist Theodor Schultze-Jasmer, a crime novel "Schwarze Windflüchter" is set in Prerow, while the novel "Seeglas und Apfelringe" is a love story, largely set in Born in the summer of 1941.
