Discover the northernmost wine-growing region in Germany, officially recognized by the Federal Council in 2004: the Schloss Rattey winery, 'Stargarder Land' ('Mecklenburger Landwein') wine-growing region. During your vineyard tour, you will explore the diversity of the 16 wine varieties in the vineyard and discover the ultra-modern winery with our highly experienced, traditionally trained cellar masters, who will also tell you about the history of wine growing in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The experience at Rattey Castle is rounded off with a tasting in the farm store, accompanied by the history of Rattey Castle and viticulture.

We are proud of our wines in the oldest, recognized wine-growing region in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and northern Germany, because wine is a natural product and it takes many steps before you can enjoy the wine in your glass. We will share this with you and take you on a tour of discovery at the Schloss Rattey winery. With us, you will discover winegrowing, the over 700-year-old Rattey estate oaks, visit our wine cellar and learn about the special features of the grape varieties we grow (PIWI's). The tour ends with a tasting of our wines in our farm store.
A guided tour of the Schloss Rattey winery lasts 90 minutes and ends in our farm store for tasting. This tour allows a maximum of 20 participants to take a look behind the scenes and taste the wines. It is aimed at adults, but accompanying children can take part free of charge (without tasting). The tour costs EUR 20.00 per participant and takes place 'indoors'; please note that it is definitely rather cool in the production facilities, even at the height of summer. The tour can be paid on site in the farm store in cash or by credit card. We also ask for your understanding that guided tours may have to be canceled at short notice during the grape harvest!
