with Urs Bumke, Edvardas Racevicius and Anne Martin
The exhibition is dedicated to people, nature and alienation from it. Visitors not only enter a space that may be reminiscent of sacred rooms, but also a constructed landscape. Pictures, (sound) installations and sculptures allow visitors to feel the reference to nature, the inner and outer landscapes and the alienation. This is also where the proximity to Caspar David Friedrich begins. The exhibition explores the ambivalence of human nature between life-affirming and life-hostile existence and action. It shows the longing for comfortable solutions, the absence of which leads to hostile developments. Artists: Urs Bumke, Edvardas Racevicius (sculptor), Anne Martin (author) Supported by the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the Caspar David Friedrich anniversary year.
