Vernissage "Views of a Man-Eater" - Man, Nature and Alienation
with Urs Bumke, Edvardas Racevicius and Anne Martin
The exhibition is dedicated to man, nature and alienation from it. Visitors not only enter a room that may be reminiscent of sacred spaces, but also a constructed landscape.
Images, (sound) installations and sculptures allow visitors to feel the connection to nature, the inner and outer landscapes and alienation. This is also where the proximity to Caspar David Friedrich begins.
The exhibition explores the ambivalence of human nature between life-affirming and life-hostile existence and action. It shows the longing for comfortable solutions, the absence of which leads to hostile developments.
Artists: Urs Bumke, Edvardas Racevicius (sculptor), Anne Martin (author)
