Ute Dreist - vessels and wood fired tableware Wolfgang de Vries - Raku ceramics porcelain lamps Wiebke Steinmetz - paper cuts and figures
Ute Dreist has been turning her vessels on the potter's wheel for over 30 years and firing them with wood so that the works have direct contact with the flame. This creates characteristic colors and surfaces that would not be possible in an electric or gas kiln. The result is non-repeatable unique pieces with excellent utility properties.

For many years there has been a collaboration with the ceramist and wood designer Wolfgang de Vries. The latter has built several wood-fired kilns for both workshops. His porcelain lamps and raku vessels are exhibited in Techentin.

Welcome to Techentin!
Ceramic workshop and gallery are located outside the village of Techentin on the road to Goldberg - very close to the nature reserve Langenhägener Seewiesen, which is known as a crane resting place and habitat of many bird species. A walk through the crane village along the shallow lakes is especially beautiful at Whitsun.
We are looking forward to your visit.
