1248-2023 Teschow 775 years A village celebrates, fitting for Ascension anniversary! At 10:00 o'clock this special day begins with the sermon on the mountain Silberberg. Should the weather gods not mean well on this special day, the sermon will take place in the church in Hohen Mistorf. At 12:00 noon the festival will be officially opened by the mayor Andreas Lange. Afterwards, the festival starts around the smithy, bakehouse and estate tavern with a varied program for young and old. An important partner as in the years before is the discotheque Neukalen. Dance and song performances by children of the school with the special focus "mental development" and of course again the Teterower Schalmeien expect you on this day. The children can try out a variety of activities. This includes a painting and handicraft street and face painting. At the washing day like in 1900 you can do it yourself. Dexterity is required at the fishing and casting game, stilt walking and rope jumping, children's games of yesteryear. Of course, the historic manor smithy and the bakehouse are also open. Visitors can learn about the old blacksmith's craft from master blacksmith Uli Manzke and even swing the forge hammer themselves. Meanwhile, master baker Christoph Hatscher will provide warm sheet cakes from the estate's baking oven. Already in the coffee garden, cared for by the museum association Teterow e. V., the cake can be enjoyed, are bread and rolls as well as Apfelschmalzbrot to have. Coffee and cake will also be provided by the women's initiative Teschow, as well as grilled food.
