Youth art school in the Kornhaus Bad Doberan as a guest in the Red Pavilion
The Kunstverein is opening the 2025 exhibition year together with the youth art school in the Kornhaus Bad Doberan. For the exhibition in the Red Pavilion entitled "unrestrained gaze - the world through children's eyes", the youth art school has selected three areas of its repertoire and is mainly showing works of applied art: ceramics, wood and textile design. The children and young people come together once a week for courses with Lisa Kaufmann, Susanne Lilienthal (both ceramics), Nicole Damisch (wood design) and Julia Miksch (textile design) and learn techniques and skills from the trained artists to work with their favorite materials and creatively transform them. Children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14 are involved in the exhibition. The youth art school in the Kornhaus Bad Doberan has been in existence since 1995 and has developed over the years into an important location for cultural education in the town of Bad Doberan and the surrounding rural area.
Admission free. The exhibition is open until March 1st, Wed to Sat from 2.00 to 5.00 pm.
The Kunstverein would like to thank the Ministry of Culture M-V, the district of Rostock and the town of Bad Doberan for their support.
