A children's art project by the Kulturverein Feldberger Land e. V.
As in previous years, the Kulturverein Feldberger Land e. V. organized an art project for children during the 2024 summer vacations. This year it was a very special project, as we joined the many exhibitions and events honoring the famous painter to mark the 250th anniversary of his birth.
For five days in July, twenty children between the ages of 7 and 11 explored this famous painter and his time and found many ways to approach him. Together with the children, we got to know Caspar David Friedrich the man and his works, as well as the Romantic era in which he lived. We experienced nature, felt ourselves in nature and also dealt with our own feelings. Painting, drawing, writing and acting resulted in very diverse and very personal works, which we are presenting in this exhibition.
In addition to the children's work, we would also like to present a book at the vernissage that was created from the results of the week. It shows the thoughts and perspectives that the children expressed on Caspar David Friedrich's paintings. The children will also present their own works that they created during the art week.
