Their unusual line-up places Trio Tsching somewhere between world music, jazz and modern classical music. After forming in 2010, they soon released their debut album, which was followed by two more albums, including one on the GLM Munich label. The trio composed and performed radio play music for Deutschlandfunk and was the subject of a radio feature on listening to music. In the Vagabundensuite program, the trio dedicated itself for the first time to the old German folk song as a starting point for a transformation of musical material into the present. The album Taschenhymnen contains exclusively original compositions and was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award. In 2018, the ensemble received a grant from the Berlin Senate. The trio has performed at numerous festivals and concert stages throughout Germany.
The Trio Tsching performs in an extraordinary line-up. The three virtuosos play in a style between world music, jazz and classical music. Quotes from folk songs to Piazzolla, Gershwin, Jan Garbarek and Nirvana are interspersed and the audience is always invited to take part in the guessing game. Their breathtaking interpretations have inspired audiences throughout Germany, with invitations from numerous renowned festivals and even the German President.
