... for little adventurers, castle ghosts, artists, delicate plants and ripe vegetables: this weekend, numerous gardens in North Western Pomerania are opening their doors to you! Take a stroll through the unique, centuries-old historical cultural landscape and its diverse horticultural heritage.
On the weekend of 14 and 15.09.2024 is "Treckeltied" in North West Pomerania: Like birds and craftsmen, garden lovers "treckeltied" (Low German: pull) through the parks and gardens of North Western Pomerania every autumn to marvel at the splendor of the flowers and the harvest. This year, a total of 24 stations will open their doors to interested visitors. Guided tours are offered through the spa, estate and castle parks, museum, bible and monastery gardens, herb and self-catering gardens.
Small markets and regional delicacies also attract locals and vacation guests to the gardens: the culinary journey takes you from cakes and tarts to stick bread, hearty grilled food, honey, oils, home-grown vegetables and freshly squeezed juices made from local fruit. In many gardens, you can also take a few free flower seeds with you this year to sow in your own flowerbed.
