Tobias Rank's WANDERKINO has been on the road since 1999 and received the German Silent Film Award for special services to silent film culture in 2023. In addition to extensive travels through Germany, the WANDERKINO has been invited all over Europe, as far as Thailand and Senegal. On August 31, 2024, it will make a stop in Ankershagen and present three silent film classics in the evening in the museum park, accompanied by piano and vocals:

Charlie Chaplin: "Police", 1916
Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy: "What do Scotsmen wear underneath", 1927
Buster Keaton: "The Balloonist", 1923

Tickets can be reserved in advance and then collected at the box office. When purchasing a ticket, a visit to the permanent exhibition between 7 and 8 pm is included. The museum bistro offers grilled sausages. Seating is available, you are welcome to bring your own picnic blankets and deckchairs.
