The barrel knocking does not always have to take place on horseback. Tractors are also suitable for entertaining the spectators.
Every year on the Fischland and Darß peninsula, the barrel cutting is celebrated in different places on different days. There are well over 50 villages in the region that celebrate the custom in different ways. For example, there are variations in which people compete on bicycles, tractors or on foot. In Tressentin, they experience the custom with tractors.
The Tressentin Tractor Club's barrel-knocking will take place on 18.01.2025 from 14.00 on the Jahnkendorf fairground.
