Petra and Max Barske Painting & Sculpture
The gallery presents a special artistic symbiosis under the motto "Together". On display are paintings and metal works by the artist couple Petra and Max Barske from Pruchten at the gates of the Darß, which have been created over 25 years. Working together in the Holzhaus studio enables them to always see their own progress through the eyes of the other. Their partner's critical eye, advice and conversations lead to a special bond, which is now manifested in this exhibition.
Petra Barske is a passionate painter. Her works are inspired by the nature of the Bodden landscape in Western Pomerania, by the surfaces of old billboards or the peeling paint of industrial materials. But she is also inspired by the travel impressions of visited Nordic islands. Max Barske has always been a designer of different materials such as wood, metal and stone. His sculptural works play with organic forms or focus on themes such as couple relationships and abstract cityscapes.
His kinetic works bear witness to his passion for interpreting technical objects in new processes.
