The cultural association Initiative LuK e.V. once again invites you to a theater experience for the whole family. For almost 180 years, Charles Dickens' "Christmas Story" has touched young and old alike at Christmas time. The Ribbeck Castle Festival ensemble will be performing a new stage version of the classic in Dömitz. It can be experienced on Friday, November 29 at 7 pm in the local Kulturhaus (Promenade 5).
Alongside the story of Jesus' birth, it is probably the most frequently told story of the Advent season. The socially critical tale about the old miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is haunted by four ghosts on the eve of Christmas and rediscovers his humanity through them, is a classic.
The unscrupulous businessman Scrooge detests Christmas and thinks nothing of Christian charity. But one Christmas night is to be unforgettable for Scrooge. Ghosts appear to the old miser and try to persuade him to change his mind. Scrooge must change his ways before it is too late for him.
Tickets are available from the Dömitz Tourist Information Office, Rathausplatz 1, telephone 038758 22112 and via Reservix for €7. They cost €10 at the box office. Children up to 12 years have free admission. Admission is from 5 pm. Drinks are available.
Thanks to the "Re-Start - Lebendige Innenstädte MV" funding program of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the LuK e.V. initiative is able to offer such affordable admission prices.
