The musical adventure
The well-mannered boy Jim Hawkins lives and works with his mother in the "Admiral Benbow". Jim dreams of adventures at sea, of pirates and freedom. When Billy Bones, a pirate with a long history, turns up one day and tells Jim the story of the famous Captain Flint's pirate treasure, the boy is hooked. He wants to go to sea and find this treasure! Together with his fatherly friend Dr. Livesey, he charters a ship and quickly finds a crew.
The idyllic adventure could hardly be more perfect, but among the supposedly loyal crew is none other than Long John Silver, the one-legged and cunning pirate, who finally senses his chance to get his hands on the treasure of his former friend and captain - Captain Flint. An exciting journey begins and Jim must realize who he can really trust and what courage and friendship are worth on such a journey. - More value than gold can ever have -
With "Treasure Island - The Adventure Musical", the Halle (Saale) based production company Fairytale Factory creates a fast-paced musical theater for the whole family. The play and the lyrics were written by director and author Sabine Hennig. The music was created in collaboration with Alexander Hohaus. The already exciting novel is now being re-recorded and made accessible to a young audience. The audience can expect a fast-paced adventure with funny characters, lots of music, dancing and, of course, a treasure to be found. So get on board, set sail and conquer "Treasure Island - The Musical".
