"The simple things"

Film comedy/ France/ 2023/ FSK 0
with Lambert Wilson, Grégory Gadebois,Betty Pierucci Berthoud, Magali Bonat, Antoine Gouy and others.
Director & screenplay: Éric Besnard
No one has as busy a schedule as Vincent Delcourt. So it's inconvenient when his chic convertible suddenly crashes on a country road. Before he knows it, the tech champion is stranded in the middle of the mountains. Vincent is rescued by Pierre. The taciturn loner, who lives in seclusion on a farm in front of a dreamy mountain backdrop, picks Vincent up on his motorcycle and has to play grumpy host for the next few hours ...
After his huge success BIRNENKUCHEN MIT LAVENDEL and the cinematic delicacy À LA CARTE, director Éric Besnard returns with a great and incredibly light-footed comedy in which Grégory Gadebois (À LA CARTE) as a nature-loving hermit and Lambert Wilson (MATRIX: RELOADED) shines as an urban workaholic. Set against a dreamy mountain backdrop, THE SIMPLE THINGS tells of a special friendship, the healing effect of summer country air and the happiness that can be found away from the densely networked big city life - in the simple things.
