Unfortunately, the event you have called is already in the past.
We cordially invite you to a reading with the winner of the KAS Literature Prize, Marica Bodrožić. The event is part of the Schwerin Literature Days in cooperation with the cultural office of the State capital Schwerin.
In six very personal essays, Marica Bodrožić explores the question of how we can achieve a new openness of thought and more humanity, especially in the face of everyday violence and ongoing injustice. Everywhere in the world, the right to integrity is trampled on and abused to the utmost every day. What does it take to initiate change? Those who only want to maintain the old inevitably choose a path to disaster. "In order to be able to perceive change and allow it, it is necessary to know one's own vulnerability," writes Bodrožić. Her essays are an impressive plea for peaceful coexistence - in the spiritual tradition of Martin Luther King or Erich Fromm. "We remain vulnerable throughout our lives. There is a goodness that lies behind
behind the cruelty. It cannot be killed off by violence."
Marica Bodrožić was born in Dalmatia in 1973. She moved to Hesse in 1983. She writes poems, novels, short stories
and essays, which have been translated into over sixteen languages. She has been awarded numerous prizes for her
prizes for her work to date. She lives with her family as a freelance writer in Berlin and in a small village in Mecklenburg.
Please pick up your tickets at the Tourist Information / Schweriner Markt.
