Christmas choir concert
Look forward to an inspiring concert evening of a special kind: sing the most beautiful Christmas carols with us and listen to classical and contemporary choral works.
The MontagsChor Rostock e.V. has been in existence since 1993; around 30 women are united not only by their perseverance and diligence, but above all by their love of singing. This is the basis for the choir's success. The highlight was participation in the "Praga Cantat" competition in the Czech capital, where the choir's program was honored with a "Golden Ribbon" and a special prize for the interpretation of contemporary literature. The choir regularly takes part in performance singing and competitions and was nominated in 2017 at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state choir competition for the 2018 national choir competition.
The juries particularly praised the balanced choral sound and the interesting program design. The ensemble repeatedly succeeds in captivating the audience emotionally during concerts. And this is always particularly successful in the atmospheric ambience of the beautiful baroque hall at Vietgest Castle... "Shine light with a bright glow - Let there be joy everywhere, everywhere"!
