A fairy tale based on the Brothers Grimm
"The best food doesn't taste good without salt. So I love my father as much as I love salt."
When the king hears this sentence from his youngest daughter, he disowns her and chases her out of the castle. An old witch takes care of her and lets her work as a gooseherdess from then on. However, as she is too beautiful for this, she conjures up an ugly face for the princess. She is only allowed back into her old skin for an hour at midnight. During this hour, she lingers by the well and weeps bitterly for the loss of her family. Her tears, however, turn into pearls. One day, when a prince helps the old witch carry her pannier, he receives one of the pearls as a reward. The king and queen discover the pearl in the prince's possession and recognize their daughter's tears in it. The three of them immediately set off to find the princess. But she can only be seen for one hour of the day ...
