polAND MARKET 2024
The "Sacrum & profanum" exhibition presents works that build a fascinating bridge between the secular and sacred worlds by exploring both everyday motifs and deeply spiritual themes. The works on display - created in the traditional technique of acrylic on canvas as well as digital graphics - are a tribute to faith and spirituality. They invite the audience to reflect on the relationship between the modern, technologized world and the deep spiritual dimension.
Małgorzata Buca's paintings operate in a field of tension between the profane and the sacred, linking everyday scenes and architectural motifs with transcendent meanings. The acrylic paintings on canvas, which mainly depict portraits and architecture, captivate with their sensuality and attention to detail. The masterful interplay of light, color and form lends these works a strong presence and materiality, while at the same time conveying a spiritual message. Her digital works, on the other hand, offer a contemporary approach to the same questions of spirituality and faith. Through digital graphic technology, the artist achieves an even greater precision in the depiction of light and color that would be difficult to achieve using traditional techniques. These works transcend the boundaries of classical art forms and combine modernity with a spiritual depth.
