A family musical by MONIKA EHRHARDT and REINHARD LAKOMY
The magic dream tree has grown a very special dream leaf, one with a blue ypsilon on it, a letter! The two forest spirits Moosmutzel and Waldwuffel already know a few letters, but a ypsilon? Are there even words with a ypsilon? Not important ones, are there? So the ypsilon jumps out of the dictionary, right into the middle of the magical and fantastic reading night of the Dream Magic Tree. It dances and sings - what would this reading night be without rhythm and poetry and the Lacky-Lok! Finally it's important for once! The ancient alphabet sorceress Alrune is thunderously enraged. The Ypsilon is to be returned to the lexicon immediately. Suddenly the Ypsi has disappeared, hexed away! Where has it gone? The magical dream tree sends its forest spirits and the children on an adventurous journey to get it back. Because what else is to become of the children's names, Yvonne, Lilly, Kay and Henry, if the Y is simply missing? And maybe the Lacky train will never run again! Together with Monika Ehrhardt, Reinhard Lakomy developed a new genre of children's entertainment in 1978 - story songs. This enchanting mixture of radio play, rock ballad and children's song has resulted in a total of fifteen radio play stories to date (including "Der Regentropfen Paule Platsch", "Der Traumzauberbaum", "Das Blaue Ypsilon"). These have been shaping generations of children for more than 40 years now and have made the TRAUMZAUBERBAUM a real success story with 5 million records sold to date. The story songs were staged as interactive children's participatory theater. With the REINHARD LAKOMY ensemble, the popular stories can be experienced live and have been successfully presented in various shows on German-speaking stages for years.
