Actually, 11-year-old Caspar just wanted to leaf through the old book from the attic. But suddenly a bright green circle appears in it and he feels magically attracted to it. A magical vortex sweeps the boy away and he suddenly ends up in Ribnitz in the year 1297 - barefoot and in his pyjamas. There he not only encounters a great-great-great-ancestor who looks just like him, but also has to go on a series of adventures with him. The children become involved in a case of espionage. Caspar meets a strange monk and rises to become the savior of the Ribnitz geese. But suddenly he finds himself in danger. Will his new friends be able to save him and will he manage to return home in time?

"The Curse of the Red Fox" is the first book in the planned series "The Secret of the Sea Chest - Caspar Voss on a Journey Through Time", written by town archivist Jana Behnke and illustrated by Ribnitz native Lea Stenzel. It takes children aged 10 and over into the world of the Middle Ages and tells of the lives of their peers in the past. The book will be published at the beginning of June by the Friends of Monastery and Town History and can be purchased at the Tourist Information Office, the German Amber Museum and the Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum.
