Lecture for the evening concert on Saturday
It makes sense to compile Bach's music into a Christ oratorio, as it repeatedly points to Christ. It is a challenge because the master carefully coordinated texts, movement forms, keys and instrumentation in his vocal works in order to artfully deepen the content.
Bach's setting of the Credo from the Mass in B minor serves as the starting point for a fascinating "composition" in the Christus Oratorio.
