Choral concert in the Schlosskirche Neustrelitz
The singers from the vocal ensemble CHORona and the Chauffeure musicians present an entertaining and musically varied program under the musical direction of Doreen Rother in the wonderful acoustics of the Neustrelitz Castle Church. At first glance, songs and instrumental pieces from the German Renaissance and musical melodies do not seem to fit together. But if you add songs and music from Cuba, Brazil, Scotland, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria from the folk genre and some witty jazz interpretations, it quickly becomes clear that music, especially when you make it yourself, is a deeply sensual form of human expression that can unite music lovers of all genres. Supported by one or two professional musicians, all members of both ensembles are amateur musicians and singers, often with a sound musical education in childhood, who feel the need to sing and make music together alongside their demanding careers. Highly motivated and committed, they work hard in rehearsals and laugh a lot. So it's no wonder that the musical spark quickly spreads to the audience. The audience can even look forward to a surprise song about our city of residence at the end of the concert.
