A specialist day with international expertise on inclusive dance practice with inputs, discussion rounds and movement units in a relaxed atmosphere.
The program of the "Dance and Inclusion" symposium on 9 December 2024 in Stralsund will show just how diverse and successful inclusion in dance can be. Guests will include creative protagonists from the UK, Bremen and Leipzig who have extensive experience with inclusive dance projects: the organization TIN Arts (Durham, UK), which brings dance projects to schools for young people with special needs and disabilities; the dance company Second Hand Dance (UK), which produces dance performances with the greatest possible accessibility for a very young audience and rehearses for them in institutions forThe FORWARD DANCE COMPANY VON LOFFT - DAS THEATER, which is the first inclusive dance ensemble to work at an independent production house in Leipzig, and the management of the dance department of Theater Bremen, which has realized a highly successful inclusive dance piece with "Harmonia".
The symposium will be held in English with the possibility of spoken translations in English/German and German/English.
The symposium is organized by Perform[d]ance in cooperation with TIN Arts, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern tanzt an and the Fachstelle Tanz MV.
