The Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra plays works by Matthew Hindson and Sergei Prokofiev.
Matthew Hindson: "House Music" for flute and orchestra
Sergei Prokofiev: Symphony No. 5 in B flat major op. 100
Soloist: Meret Louisa Vogel, flute
Conductor: Nicholas Milton
Australian composer Matthew Hindson presents us with a special kind of house music in his flute concerto composed in 2006: In an amusing and creative way, he leads us musically through various living environments, through the kitchen, garage, workshop, past the swimming pool and into the children's room. Let us surprise you!
Sergei Prokofiev completed his 5th Symphony in 1944 during the decisive battles of the Second World War. It was intended to be a symphony "on the greatness of the human spirit", a "song to free and happy people", according to the composer.
Tickets for theater performances are also available at the tourist information offices.
