Works that radiate joie de vivre and inspire
Paintings by Susanne Feldt are currently on display at the Sparkasse Mecklenburg-Strelitz gallery. The exhibition comprises 18 works created over the last five years. It is the artist's first exhibition to date to show exclusively still lifes. She is best known for her colorful portraits, although both themes have existed side by side on an equal footing from the very beginning. Susanne Feldt associates her still lifes above all with life and enjoyment. They show elements of everyday life and remind us to appreciate the moment and the little things in life. Her works are created directly on location. Driven by wanderlust, the painter is always drawn to faraway places. And so it is not unusual for a tiny balcony in Italy or a friend's terrace in Guatemala to become her studio.
Born in Neustrelitz, the artist now lives and works in Neubrandenburg. She studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts. She is currently working on a series of commissioned portraits and accompanies the growing number of her grandchildren, whom she paints several times a year, just like her children.
"I am delighted that these vibrant works, which are inspired by the beauty of life and nature, can be seen here at Sparkasse Mecklenburg-Strelitz," says Susanne Schön, Chairwoman of the Board of Management. More than 100 exhibitions have brought art connoisseurs and art lovers to the building so far. "For us, this is an opportunity to give regional artists a stage and show the creative potential that exists in the region," concludes Susanne Schön.
Susanne Feldt's works will be on display in the gallery of the Sparkasse's main branch in Neustrelitz, Strelitzer Straße 27, until April 4, 2025. Visitors are cordially invited to be inspired by the joie de vivre of the works.
