In addition to a multitude of gods, there are just as many heroes in Greece who became famous for their great adventures. They shone with their extraordinary bravery, strength and wisdom and accomplished incredible deeds. They traveled to wondrous places and defeated evil monsters. Go on adventurous journeys during the summer vacations at the Schliemann Museum Ankershagen and immerse yourself in the world of heroes and heroines every Thursday.

Thu, 25.07. "Heracles, stronger than all"

In Greek mythology, the son of the father of the gods Zeus - the strong Heracles - experiences legendary adventures and accomplishes his twelve heroic deeds. Learn lots of interesting facts, solve puzzles and create your own heroic story

Thu, 01.08. "Odysseus, a hero with cunning and wisdom!"

Follow in the footsteps of the most famous hero of antiquity - Odysseus - and listen to the exciting stories of the legendary hero during his adventurous odyssey across the Mediterranean. Together we will create sea monsters, one-eyed giants, sirens and much more.

Thu, 08.08. "Strong heroines - daring and skillful!"

Everyone knows the modern heroines like Wonder Woman or Supergirl. But what was it actually like in Greek mythology? In this course, you will get to know the particularly strong women, such as the legendary Amazons or the king's daughter Atalante. Afterwards, there are no limits to your imagination when it comes to crafting.

The young hero Jason is the leader of the Argonauts, who are searching together for the lost Golden Fleece, which is protected by a fire-breathing dragon. Join us on the journey, listen to the adventures and be inspired by Jason and the Argonauts while making crafts.

Thu, 22.08. "Trapped in the Labyrinth - Theseus and the Minotaur"

The legend of the labyrinth is probably one of the most famous Greek heroic stories. It is about Theseus, the brave and courageous hero and the Minotaur, a terrible creature, half man, half bull, trapped in the labyrinth. We go in search of clues together and make our own little labyrinth.

On this day, the creative workshop is all about the heroic demigod Perseus. He was known for many great deeds. For example, he freed the king's daughter Andromeda and was not afraid to take on the gruesome Medusa, whose gaze turned mortals to stone.
