The historic Hanseatic City of Stralsund will shine in Christmas splendor from November 25, when the Stralsund Christmas market opens with the traditional stollen cutting ceremony. Until December 31, citizens and visitors from near and far can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and look forward to a varied program on the Old Market, the New Market and in the Gothic town hall cellar.
Guests can experience a very special atmosphere in the vaulted cellar of the Rathauskeller. Artists, traders and craftspeople invite you to marvel at their stands.
The Old Market is a contemplative and informal place: the culture tent offers a colorful, free program of events with concerts, readings and the annual Christmas caroling on 21 December.
On the Neuer Markt, the Christmas carnival with an ice rink and a variety of rides provides plenty of fun.
Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the markets, a cultural event in the culture tent or a speedy spin on the ice rink - the Hanseatic City of Stralsund offers its guests an unforgettable Advent experience.
