Station Cinema "The Cairo Conspiracy"

Adam (Tawfeek Barhom) is the son of a fisherman. His dream of studying at al-Azhar University in Cairo comes true when he is awarded a scholarship. Shortly afterwards, however, the head of the institution dies and a political power struggle for the succession begins. Candidates from different religious camps face each other. The president has his own favorite and assigns investigator Ibrahim (Fares Fares) from state security to support him. Ibrahim has an informant who is suddenly and brutally murdered. In search of a replacement, he enlists the naive Adam, who gradually develops into a talented informer and uncovers some of the dishonest dealings. In the process, however, he is in danger of forgetting who he is and where he belongs.
