Johannes Terbach produces a live "stargazer" in the old American style at the Natural History Museum, which will remain in the museum on loan
For Kunst Offen, the artist Johannes Terbach is producing a weatherproof "stargazer" (h= 35 cm in the old American style) in the Museum of Nature during regular opening hours on Whit Sunday, which will remain there on loan for the time being after completion.
This is done using a prepared casting mold, which is then filled with red and/or black pigmented special mortar; the material is gradually stamped into this mold.
Visitors, employees and children in particular can fill "messages and treasures" into containers provided for this purpose according to the instructions and INCLUDE them IN THE FIGURE! It is then sealed on site overnight. The figurine thus becomes a granite-hard stone safe, which will eventually erode after many decades and release these messages again...
On Whit Monday, the rock-hard object will be unpacked at the beginning of opening hours, traces of casting removed and polished.
A deeply penetrating special sealant will make the stargazer even tougher by early summer.
All rights and claims of third parties to the resulting object are excluded.
