On Saturday, April 5, the Stralsund City Library invites you to the popular plant and seed exchange followed by a lecture on sustainable flower cultivation.
10:30 am to 1:30 pm: Plant and seed exchange
Start the new gardening year with the allotment garden association Andershof e.V., BUND, Umweltprojekte Nord e.V. and Sundtomate: From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., interested parties can exchange ideas about and with seeds and plants in the foyer of the city library - and in good weather also in the inner courtyard. You are welcome to bring your own seeds.
In addition to the seed exchange, the seed library and extensive specialist literature on plants and garden design are also available on the 2nd floor.
Admission is free.
11 a.m.: Lecture by Leonie Korbach - "The Wild Flora and the Slow Flowers"
At 11 a.m., Leonie Korbach, the award-winning founder of "Wilde Flora" from Greifswald, will talk about the sustainable and environmentally friendly cultivation of cut flowers and their preparation as dried flowers. In addition to practical examples of seasonal cultivation, the event cellar of the city library will also provide information about the Slow Flower movement. The aim is to strengthen the exchange with regional suppliers and offer an alternative to long supply chains.
Tickets for the lecture are now available at the Stralsund City Library for 4 euros.
