Celebratory concert to mark the 70th anniversary of the Müritz District Music School
With spring, nature awakens to new life: The first buds sprout, the lily of the valley blooms and the air is filled with fresh energy. This energy can also be heard in the spring concert of the Kreismusikschule Müritz, because this year is a very special one. For 70 years now, the music school in Waren has been musically shaping generations of young people and has made numerous concerts, concert tours, competitions and events possible that are still unforgotten today.
On May 17, 2025, the Kreismusikschule Müritz will celebrate its 70th birthday with a special celebratory concert in the Bürgersaal Waren. From 15:00, the pupils will let their instruments speak for themselves. Ms. Linke, the director of the music school, will present a number of stories from the years since the school was founded in 1955. One of the highlights of the afternoon will be the performances of the youth string orchestra and the project orchestra, which consists of the youth wind orchestra and the wind orchestra Waren e.V.. Both orchestras qualified last autumn in Grimmen for the German Orchestra Competition next June and will present excerpts from their competition program during the spring concert. In addition, the guitar ensemble, under the direction of Anke Berger, and both choirs of the district music school, under the direction of Mario Wagner, will perform their skills.
This special afternoon promises to be a varied musical experience in which the music takes center stage and the musical achievements of the students and the work of the teachers of the Müritz District Music School are honored.
