A play about the youth of the famous Low German writer Fritz Reuter
Young Fritz, the wild Reuter
A play about the youth of the famous Low German writer
Fritz Reuter
For adults and young people aged 14 and over
Fritz Reuter was born in 1810 in the small town of Stavenhagen in Mecklenburg. Little Fritz spends his childhood carefree and with a lot of nonsense in his head. As the years went by, however, the conflicts became more frequent. School becomes a torment for the mayor's son. Fritz's artistic talents are in stark contrast to his strict father's plans.
With plenty of humor and wit, we accompany a boy on his path to adulthood: Stress with the teachers, first love, the rebellion against the parental home, a wet and cheerful student time. Ordinary problems of a special boy in a historic time. The call for freedom, unity and self-determination becomes louder in the German lands.
