At Rostock Zoo
Orangutans, gorillas, tree kangaroos and various botanical species - many animal and plant species are critically endangered. As zoo residents, Sizzel, Assumbo & Co. act as ambassadors for their endangered conspecifics. With their help, the aim is to raise awareness of nature and species conservation. The Rostock Zoo Association is dedicating a special event to this important topic on May 22, 2025 with the Species Conservation Day. Visitors can find out about the various projects at different stations - about marine pollution, endangered animals and plants and much more.
